The NodeMCU WiFi Motor Shield – ESP12E is a motor driver shield designed to be used with the NodeMCU ESP8266 board. It includes an L293D motor driver on board and can drive one stepper motor or two DC motors. When used with the ESP8266 development board, it allows you to easily build WiFi-controlled robots.
Note: The product we sell is not compatible with the NodeMCU Lolin V3 model. It is compatible with NodeMCU V2.
Technical Specifications
- Motor Power Supply (VM): 4.5V ~ 36V, can be powered separately
- Control Power (VIN): 4.5V ~ 9V (10V MAX), can be powered separately
- The module provides a short-circuit jumper (VM and VIN), allowing the motor driver and control circuit to share a single power supply (requires 4.5V ~ 9V)
- Logic operating current: ≤60mA (Vi = L), ≤22mA (Vi = H)
- IO operating current per channel: ≤1.2A
- Maximum power consumption: 4W (T = 90℃)
- Control signal input level:
- High: 2.3V ≤ VIH ≤ VIN
- Low: -0.3V ≤ VIL ≤ 1.5V
- Operating temperature: -25℃ ~ +125℃
- Driver type: Dual high-power H-bridge driver
- ESP12E Dev Kit control ports:
- D1, D3 (Motor A)
- D2, D4 (Motor B)
- On/off button on the board
