The Original Arduino Motor Shield Rev3 is an official shield model that can be easily used in a wide variety of projects; we highly recommend it.
The Arduino Motor Shield is a full-bridge motor driver based on the L298 motor driver IC. It can drive two separate 2A DC motors or one 2A stepper motor. You can independently control the speed and direction of each motor. Additionally, the Current Sense feature allows you to measure the current drawn by each motor individually. For rapid prototyping, the shield also includes six onboard connectors.

- Screw terminals: For motor and power connections
- White connectors: For analog input, connected to A2 and A3
- Orange connectors: For PWM output, connected to D5 and D6
- 4-pin white connectors: I2C (TWI) pins, can be used for input and output
