Unlike simple sensors, the TSL2561 can perform measurements close to the human eye response, detecting both infrared and visible light. It features an I2C interface, can be powered with 3V, and requires only 0.6 mA supply current. It has a wide detection range of 0.1 – 40,000 Lux. The sensor dimensions are 17 x 13 mm.
