This is a simple type vibration sensor module. When the free-moving spring inside vibrates, the resistance between the two terminals changes, indicating the presence of vibration.
Since the spring inside the sensor is positioned vertically, it detects vibrations primarily in this direction. The module provides a digital output. When vibration is detected, the data pin outputs 5V.
It can be used with many microcontroller platforms, especially Arduino.
