Key Features and Capabilities
The specially developed software allows the robot to analyze dead-end paths and avoid entering them again. It accurately follows walls to reach the end of the maze.
Equipped with 3 analog IR sensors, the robot can measure the distance between walls and center its body accordingly. Measured values between 0–20 cm are used to calculate proximity to walls.
IR sensors are controlled via N-Channel MOSFETs, allowing on/off signals and adjustable operating frequency.
Distance traveled and 90-degree turns are stabilized using two NovaMax 6V 750 RPM encoder motors. The motor mounts and fixing holes are compatible with the standard 12mm motor casing, requiring no modifications.
Motor driver: Toshiba TB6612FNG, supporting precise PWM control and hard braking. Provides 1A per motor and up to 3A instantaneous current during stress or sudden direction changes.
Continuous voltage monitoring allows automatic speed adjustments. Low current consumption allows operation without Li-Po batteries, using disposable 9V batteries for 5–6 hours.
The robot operates on 7.4V–12.6V, leaving battery choice up to the user. A 9V test battery is included for setup.
Reverse voltage protection is built-in via a bridge diode; the robot functions correctly regardless of battery polarity.
Onboard user LEDs display sensor data in real-time. DIP switches allow speed adjustments or track selection.
Start and reset buttons allow the robot to start or reset without disconnecting power.
