LiPo Battery Structure
There is a charge control connector and T-Plug connection connector on the LiPo battery.
LiPo Batteries consist of 3.7V cells. 7.4V Lipo Battery has 2 3.7V cells. This allows you to monitor and charge individual cells. This is called 'Balance Charging' and it extends the life of your battery.
Lipo Battery Testing and Monitoring
We recommend that you use your LiPo battery with the Lipo Level Meter and Alarm Module. This device can monitor each cell in your battery and sound an alarm when the battery gets too low. This is important for maintaining your battery. If you allow your battery voltage to become low, it may be permanently damaged and become unusable.
Charging Lipo Battery
To charge LiPo batteries, you need to use special chargers. Using different devices will damage your lipo battery and can be dangerous. You can use the A3 Compact Lipo (2-3S) Charger for 7.4V Lipo batteries.
Things to Consider When Using Lipo Battery
The end cables of Lipo batteries should NEVER touch each other. It shouldn't be short circuited.
For lipo batteries to work efficiently, it is necessary to pay attention to the range of 3.00V - 4.20V per cell.
If any cell of the battery you use falls below 3V, there is a risk of the battery ending its life.
Overcharging, that is, charging more than 4.20V, also has safety risks.
A LiPo battery should not be discharged below 3V. Considering that the capacity will decrease as the battery ages, the battery should be discharged following the 80% rule. In other words, the LiPo battery should be discharged to the value obtained when 80% of the capacity value is calculated. If this rule is not followed, batteries may swell and explode.
LiPo batteries should not be opened and you shouldn't let the battery contact with water.
Lipo batteries should only be charged with lipo battery chargers. Charging with the wrong charger will cause the battery to swell and is dangerous.
